Aparna is Scientist at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh in the area of Computational Instrumentation since 2011. She is also an Honorary Assistant Professor at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). Her research interests’ center on embedding computational intelligence to sensors and systems, through the use of Computer Vision, Signal Processing and Machine Intelligence. She is involved in research projects with main focus on detection and recognition using infrared and visible imagers, seismic and acoustic sensors spanning across surveillance and disaster management applications. Her work is published in reputed international journals and conferences. She received Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology Warangal in 2008, and Master’s in Advanced Instrumentation Engineering from AcSIR in 2011. She was awarded "Best Outstanding B.Tech Project Award" by the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Warangal and “NIT Warangal Merit Scholarship” thrice during her Bachelor’s. During her Master’s, she was awarded the “CSIR Quick Hire Scientist Trainee Scholarship” for two years and also secured the first position in the Master’s programme.
