Bhuvaneshwaran Subramanian is pursuing Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in School of Medical Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in association with School of Bioscience and Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He is guided by Professor Sujoy K Guha, School of Medical Science and Technology, Kharagpur, founder of Biomedical engineering department Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and one of the founders of Biomedical engineering in India and co guided by Dr. Piyali Basak, Assistant Professor, School of Bio-science and Engineering, Jadavpur Univaersity, Kolkata in his research works. His research work comes under the broad theme of Reproductive health care and bio-material. His Ph.D work focuses on developing "Improved form of non-hormonal Intrauterine Contraceptive Device" using bio-polymer. His research work also focuses in developing real time monitoring bio-polymer implant. His research works received Gandhian Young Technological Innovation award (GYTI 2016), World Biomaterial Congress (WBC 2016) trainee award, Sushruta Innovation Award (Sia 2016). In addition he received best oral and paper presentation awards.
