About:

Dr. Gargi Goswami is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Biotechnology, GITAM (Deemed to be University). Her research interests have long centred on development of sustainable process for biofuel production and value-added products. She has been particularly interested in developing various process-engineering strategies for production of biofuels and secondary metabolites from microalgae and bacterial systems. Gargi received her Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India. Before joining GITAM, she has worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India and Cranfield University, UK.

 

Current Research:

  1. Microbes as cell factories for production of high-value metabolites.
  2. Biomass to Biofuels: Bioprocess Development, Process Optimization and Scale-up.
  3. Bioremediation of Industrial Wastewater.
