Haripriya Rama is a PhD candidate at the University of South Africa and Agricultural Research Council. She is a published co-author of two book chapters and a review article. She has presented at local and international conferences and symposiums. Her research interests are renewable energy, nanotechnology, microbiology and bioinformatics. Her PhD research, funded by the prestigious NRF Innovations Scholarship Award, focuses on enhancing anaerobic digestion processes with the objective of providing smallholder farmers and rural-based communities with cleaner energy using organic waste
